1999 Mexican Beetle Body on a 1971 Pan
This is another project car for me. I've seen this car for sale a number
of times in the last few years. It was sold as a complete car to a fellow
from Connecticut who separated the body/chassis and put the body on his 60's
beetle and used as a daily driver. The body was then sold to a fellow from
New Jersey who started restoration on a 1971 pan. I purchased it from him
and plan on completing the car. I think I will make it into a
"Retro-Herbie." The floor pan halves are brand new, and the body is in
great shape. I plan on installing a nice transaxle and a high performance
motor to make this car complete.
